Globally known for the results brought about by Certified Lean Six Sigma professionals and practitioners, companies either hire these professionals or send their employees to training to earn their certifications. However, some individuals take it upon themselves to enroll so they may further contribute to their organization. Jayson Barnachea is quite fortunate to be sent by his company to join Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Batch 4.

Nicknamed Jayce, Mr. Barnachea is a Finance Services Team Lead in one of the Philippines' largest Shared Services companies. An accountant by education, his team services the accounts payable (AP) function of a North American company. He started his Lean Six Sigma journey when the Shared Services company held its in-house Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt training. He initially thought that what he knows in Lean Six Sigma and project management is enough. Eventually, encouraged to take external Lean Six Sigma Training, Jayce enrolled in our Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Online Training and Certification. He then realized the differences of Lean Six Sigma applications in various industries and companies, making him appreciate the methodology better.

In a video testimonial, Jayce mentioned: “Before taking this course [Lean Six Sigma Green Belt], I thought that my knowledge in project handling is already enough for me to handle any process improvement projects. But during our Green Belt training in DivergenZ, I got a chance to know and understand and realize the difference, which helped me explore the Six Sigma methodology more."

After months of continuous monitoring, hard-work, and coaching sessions with our MBB Ed Torno, who has 15 years of practice applying Lean Six Sigma, Jayce finally earned his certificate in January 2021.

Jayce's project was named Uncashed Check Letter and StopPay Void/Reissue Process Improvement Project that, upon completion, helped the company save a significant amount!*

Jayce said that,"I’m thankful for my coaches at DivergenZ [are] very hands-on and willing to give us unlimited coaching and support to learn and be guided in our projects, especially with the statistics. They even facilitated the fortnightly meetings to check on the progress of our projects and give advice. This coaching session helps me a lot in completing my project in a reasonable period. Again, thank you, DivergenZ, for the support, and I am looking forward to seeing you again in my future courses. I hope to get my Black Belt certification soon here in DivergenZ. Thank you!”
